Ministry History

The ministry of Mission NYC grew out the ashes of the World Trade Center and was given direction and purpose by the Lord. Since September 11, 2001, this ministry has assisted over 70,000 Christians to come and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a multitude of ways. In addition, over 1.5 million Bibles, Scripture Tracts and Christian books have been freely distributed by faithful mission team servants to hurting New Yorkers seeking peace and answers in the years since the tragedy.

Ground Zero Cross

(watermark protection added for website only - click to enlarge)

This unique lithograph of the cross at Ground Zero was presented to the men and women of the DSNY (Department of Sanitation of NYC) on September 1, 2002. These hardworking faithful servants of NYC moved the remains of the never to be forgotten men & women who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, without any acknowledgement of their service until 9/1/2002. This powerful image of God's love in the midst of such devastation helped heal many wounds within the faithful men & women of the DSNY and the hundreds of Ground Zero volunteers who served so faithfully.
